Rick Smith


Rick Smith is an internationally known presenter and consultant who specializes in helping teachers unlock their greatest potential.  Mr. Smith worked as a classroom teacher for fourteen years, working particularly with at-risk students.  He has served as a mentor to many new teachers and spent two years training Peace Corps volunteer teachers in Ghana.  In addition, Mr. Smith has taught in the Secondary Credential Program at Dominican College in San Rafael, California and currently teaches in the Elementary Credential Program at St. Mary's College in Moraga, California.

Known for his inspiring, energetic, and interactive style, Mr. Smith has conducted hundreds of workshops and given many keynote speeches across the United States, sharing with thousands of teachers his practical strategies.  His book Conscious Classroom Management: Unlocking the Secrets of Great Teachers is used by the majority of new teachers in the ten largest schools districts in the United States.
