Marcia Tate is an educational consultant having taught over 125,000 administrators, teachers, parents and business and community leaders throughout the world. She has served as the Executive Director of Professional Development for DeKalb County School System in Decatur, Georgia. In 2001, she received the Distinguished Staff Developer Award for the State of Georgia, and her department was chosen to receive the Exemplary Progam Award for the state.
She is the author of several books on the topic of the effect of worksheets, sit and get, and shouting on growing dendrites (brain connections) in educational settings. She uses the 20 strategies outlined in her books to actively engage her audiences.
This conference is a "must attend" professional development activity for administrators and teachers as a part of your No Child Left Behind efforts.
When using Title IIA for professional development, the code for conference registration is 2213-800. Most districts can use Title IIA or district professional development monies for conference registration.
